We are located on Henri Julien Street, in the heart of the Plateau, one of the most vibrant areas of Montréal, between the MONT-ROYAL and SHERBROOKE metro stations, between the streets Saint Laurent and Saint Denis.

You can always call us when you arrive in Montréal, at 514 843 8279 – a $0.25 call
(Telephone cards are much cheaper in the city more than at the airport and can be used for the public telephone at Jean's place. Ask for more information at the hostel. And save yourself as much money as possible while you still have some...)

Getting there. From Dorval, here is the bus service "747" available to the city center (about 10 $ 24 valid for metro and bus) Coming from Dorval airport you have a few choices :
- If you are in a hurry, have lots of baggage and a little money, the taxi costs around $40 CAD.
- You can also take the shuttle bus which takes you to BERRI-UQAM metro station for around $12 CAD.
-  If your transport budget is limited and you're travelling light, public transportation costs around 2$ CAD Take the bus number 204 into the city, (make you sure you have some Canadian currency before you get on the bus). don't forget to ask for a transfer for bus number 211 (and also your metro transfer) – ask the driver where to change buses. The 211 will take you to the Lionel-Groulx metro station. Take the orange line towards Henri-Bourassa and stop at the MONT ROYAL metro station, which is only a 5 minute walk from the hostel. You can also take the shuttle bus which takes you to BERRI-UQAM metro station for around $14 CAD.

Getting there. By bus or by train From the bus terminal at Berri-UQAM or Windsor train station, you take the orange metro line towards Henri-Bourassa station and stop at the MONT ROYAL metro station which is only a 5 minute walk from the hostel. You take a left on Mont-Royal Avenue then the third left will be Henri Julien street.

Getting there. By Car - From Toronto or Ottawa, (highway 20) Boston or New York (Champlain Bridge, highway 10) follow the signs to Downtown "centre ville". Pass through the Ville-Marie tunnel and stay in the right hand lane to take the second exit, which is Berri Street and then take the second light on the left, and get back on Berri Street until the end, turn left onto Roy Street (west) and the fourth right onto Henri Julien Street (north) until you reach 4136.
- If you are coming from the north on highway 40, take the Saint-Laurent/Saint-Denis exit and go down Saint-Denis (south) until you reach Roy Street, (four streets after Mont-Royal avenue) and take a left, Henri-Julien will be the second on your right.
- If you are already downtown from Université Street, turn right onto Sherbrooke Street, then left onto Saint-Laurent Street (north). and right onto Duluth Street (it's the 5th street, a little paved one, don't miss it) and finally turn left onto Henri-Julien Street.

Warning ! If you want to park your car for free near the hostel, make sure you read the street signs carefully as there are lots of restrictions – this may be a bit complicated for new arrivals. Just let us know when you arrive if you have a car, and we'll help you decipher them !
